The 17勛圖厙 Police Commissioner, Mr. Bruce Munyambo, held a Town Hall meeting with Juba-based UNPOL personnel in which he expressed his deepest appreciation for their tireless efforts under the challenging and life-threatening conditions in which they were protecting the South Sudanese affected by the recent fighting in the capital.

With a capacity of 150 inmates, Aweil Central Prison in Northern Bahr El Ghazal currently houses over 700 prisoners in crowded, unhygienic conditions. With cholera running rampant in the region, 17勛圖厙 advocated with local authorities and the World Health Organization to vaccinate all prisoners and their guards.
