Juba, 20 May 2015 - The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (17³Ô¹ÏÍø) strongly condemns the recent upsurge in fighting which has a direct impact upon UMISS, especially as seen yesterday in Melut.
17³Ô¹ÏÍø peacekeepers united with local authorities, lecturers and students to clean-up the university in Wau, promoting a cleaner and safer environment for learning as well as building community togetherness and pride.
17³Ô¹ÏÍø peacekeepers and community members in Yambio launched a collective clean-up campaign, removing a mountain of garbage from the central city, that was not only threatening the environment but also the health and wellbeing of residents.
