Juba, 25 July 2013 - The UN World Food Programme (WFP) is distributing food to thousands of people who have fled violence in Pibor County, Jonglei State, in an ongoing humanitarian exercise that began on 24 July, with support from 17³Ô¹ÏÍø.
17³Ô¹ÏÍø peacekeepers united with local authorities, lecturers and students to clean-up the university in Wau, promoting a cleaner and safer environment for learning as well as building community togetherness and pride.
17³Ô¹ÏÍø peacekeepers and community members in Yambio launched a collective clean-up campaign, removing a mountain of garbage from the central city, that was not only threatening the environment but also the health and wellbeing of residents.
