Prison health training ends in Malakal
1 March 2013 - Aiming to boost health and hygiene in prisons, especially for the elderly, disabled and mentally handicapped, a four-day training ended today in Malakal, Upper Nile State.
Attended by 28 prison officers, the workshop was organized by the 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Correction Advisory Section.
"We call upon 17³Ô¹ÏÍø to conduct more training for prison officers in the future ... (I) urge the participants to take the issue of hygiene in the prison very seriously," Upper Nile Director of Prisons Major General BoL Chol Wol said in closing remarks.
17³Ô¹ÏÍø Acting Coordinator Welmoet Wels encouraged participants to share what they had learned with their colleagues and communities, pledging 17³Ô¹ÏÍø support.
The training was the second conducted by the Correction Advisory Section in Upper Nile.
