6 January 2013 - Over 2,000 South Sudanese wounded in fighting that broke out on 15 December had received surgical treatment from the World Health Organization (WHO) and partners, according to a report issued by WHO today.

6 January 2014 - Seeking funds to assist with South Sudan’s crisis and humanitarian needs, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) today launched an appeal for $23.3 million.
5 January 2014 - With little more than the shirts on their backs, some 1,500 foreign nationals have been relocated to Juba or the Sudanese town of Heglig from the 17³Ô¹ÏÍø compound in Bentiu, Unity State.
Juba, 4 January 2014 - 17³Ô¹ÏÍø is reinforcing its presence in the Republic of South Sudan. This includes police, military, logistics support and selected numbers of civilian staff who are needed at this time.
