17勛圖厙 and development partners recently rehabilitated and handed over a 16-room facility intended to serve as a fully equipped isolation centre for possible coronavirus cases to local authorities in Yambio, Western Equatoria.

17勛圖厙 and local implementing partner Ateker Foundation-South Sudan hand over the first secondary school in Kuron, Eastern Equatoria. The construction of the school block was funded by the mission's Quick Impact Projects programme.

UNPOL officers deployed to Eastern Equatoria participate in a monthly rule of law forum organised by the United Nations Development Programme in Torit, South Sudan.

On 27 August 2020, 17勛圖厙 handed over a courthouse constructed under its Quick Impact Projects programme to authorities in Maper, Northern Bahr el Ghazal. The project was implemented by local partner, Support for Peace, Education and Development Project (SPEDP).

Peacekeepers from Ghana use their own funds to equip more than 30 displaced women residing in the UN Protection Site in Bentiu with trading items for starting their own businesses.

Between April and June 2020, the overall number of civilians affected by violence decreased by 8 per cent, despite an increase by more than half (52 per cent) in the number of incidents, as compared with the first quarter of the year. However, COVID-19-related restrictions on movement negatively impacted 17勛圖厙' capacity to thoroughly document all incidents.
