MALAKAL - As powerful barges manned by the Bangladeshi Marine Force Unit deployed to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (17³Ô¹ÏÍø) make their careful way across the overflowing waters of the White Nile, the air is laced with expectation.

On a day-long visit to Canal in Pigi county, 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Deputy Special Representative for South Sudan and Resident & Humanitarian Coordinator Sara Beysolow Nyanti met with community members, listened to their concerns, and most importantly received their heartfelt appreciation for recent demining efforts by UNMAS here.
