In July this year, the United Nations Mission in South Sudan��conducted a civil-military dialogue to reduce tensions in Magwi, Eastern Equatoria. The result so far? A resounding success.

Martin Lorikai is a local chief in the village of Magos, Eastern Equatoria. He and his people are descendants of the Toposa, one of more than 60 ethnic groups in South Sudan.

Upon completion of a fourth session in Bentiu, a visiting mobile court had convicted eight people found guilty of rape, murder, armed robbery, kidnapping and serious assault. ��
