1April 2013 - Concluding a peace conference in Rumbek today, members of the Kuei and Rup communities agreed to pay compensation for lives lost on both sides in fighting between rival youths.
31 March 2013 – A fire broke out in Rumbek Market today, destroying property worth an estimated 200,000 Sudanese pounds before 17³Ô¹ÏÍø brought it under control.
The cause of the blaze is still unclear, although witnesses told UN Radio Miraya it had begun at a market welding site.
