Juba, 5 February 2014 - A contingent of 266 additional peacekeepers arrived in South Sudan on 4 February. The troops include 10 women, two of whom are doctors, and three nurses. They will be deployed in Juba at the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (17³Ô¹ÏÍø) protection sites.

4 February 2014 - To assist 3.2 million South Sudanese worst affected by hostilities in South Sudan, aid agencies would need $1.27 billion to cover the period up to June, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator said at a press conference in Juba today.
